 JS Lindsay was born in Scone, Perthshire in !954. He came to painting later than most and is a great believer that it is never too late to follow your dream. He has travelled extensively through the South of France following in the footsteps of the great impressionist masters, from whom he is inspired. Whether impressionistic or emotive in style, all of his compositions capture light and shadow to extraordinary effect.

His travel adventures on the road are where he developed his 'Plein Air' style of painting, based in the South of France he divides his time between there and Scotland whilst undertaking field trips to Italy and the Greek Islands.
